????Are you in a band????

Suppose you want to find a manager or promoter, a venue to play, somewhere to rehearse or even to record that great album that's running around your head. Where do you look? Who do you ask?

Well check out the NEMIS (NEw Music In Scotland) web site and if they cant tell you, they know a man who can...

You should also think about registering your band name with BandName.com They provide a free registration process and a host of worthwhile sections on thier site, you can even check to see whether anyone else has had the same brilliant idea for a name that you have. Check it even if your not interested in registering just to check out the bands who have.

The Scottish Gig Guide site provide rehearsal/ recording studio listings and a cool gig guide and chat cafe. An excellent resource for music in Scotland.

The BURBS (British Underground Rock Bands) website contains links and audio files for more than 1'150 UK rock bands... including us! If your want to find out what bands are kicking around this sceptred isle then you wont go far wrong here.

Or for a more national approach, visit UkBands.net. These folks provide a whole range of services for the gigging musician:

"THE oneSTOP MUSIC PROMOTION PORTAL FOR UK ARTISTS
The Professional Band Directory for all UK Bands and Music promotion from active recording and Performing UK Artists"

If you want to be treated fairly as a musician and get full legal support if someone tries to stiff you for your playing fee (a sometimes too often occurence!) then consider joining the Musicians Union. They're benefits are too numerous and worthy to mention here, just click on the link to find out exactly what they have to offer for a small annual consideration.

If you want to find out about other muso's in your local area you could always pay a visit to www.musicians-in-your-city.co.uk where they have a large database of bands and individual musicians. They employ a nifty area code search which lets you specify your home town and see who else has signed up locally.

If your into the alt scene in any way shape or form then check out this cool webzine with interviews and signed memorabilia from various punk, alt style bands. They also promote young and up coming bands from just about anywhere in the country... Check it out. It's CT Music.

Do you take your blues on the rocks? Then check out this electric band from the streets of philadelphia... Laides and germs...

The Blues Power Revolution

If none of that takes your fancy then check out the Contraband entry on Scottish-bands and there might even be a short demo of one of our songs on their radio station..., who knows?

If you have any semblance of a soul then you should pay a visit to

The Orangutan Foundation UK

"The aim of the Orangutan Foundation is to protect the orangutan and to conserve its rainforest habitat whilst caring for and repatriating ex-captive orangutans back into the wild. The Orangutan Foundation seeks to actively lobby governments and educate the public about the orangutan and its habitat so that it might be saved from extinction."
